Forming the JAB Foundation

The John A. Bennett Preservation Foundation was born from four decades of private work at Bennett Property Management. Having focused on rehabilitation of buildings for affordable rentals in Seattle, the property management grew over time and began to sustain the disappearing culture of the city in small pockets of artist spaces, vintage housing, and revitalized storefronts.

John and his daughter Aurora decided it was time to create the foundation in order to further their support of local programs, organizations, and events.

Bennett Property Management still operates the entire portfolio of properties with a small local team.
